Become A Community Partners Volunteer

Community Partners projects enable alumni to apply their business and management skills as volunteer consultants to impactful nonprofit organizations in the Los Angeles area that would not otherwise be able to afford this type of help.  The projects usually involve key business issues such as strategic planning, financial management strategy, organizational development, marketing strategy and board governance.

Community Partners projects allow volunteers to have a large effect on nonprofits while also providing maximum flexibility.  Our projects generally only require a time commitment of 2 to 4 hours per week for 3 to 6 months (depending upon the complexity of the project).  With the exception of two to three on-site meetings at the nonprofit agency being served (normally at the beginning and end of the project), volunteers usually work remotely, using regular conference calls for status updates, brainstorming, etc.  This means that once the project leader divides the workload among the team members and establishes a timeline for the deliverables, that volunteers can work whenever and wherever they would like to meet their deadlines.

If you are interested in volunteering for a current or future Community Partners project, please send an email to with a brief bio that outlines the skills you can bring to a project and your areas of interest.  If you have geographic or time restrictions, please include these in your email as well.

Thanks for your interest!
